Drako recently announced the Dragon crossover with an original design. The body of the electric car will be made of carbon fiber and offer the highest level of comfort for five adult passengers and their luggage. While the lifting gullwing doors will provide the most comfortable boarding/alighting (at least that’s what Drako thinks).
So, in the near future a new crossover with a fairly high level of equipment and excellent performance in terms of dynamics will be on sale. It is reported that under the hood of Drako Dragon will be installed engine with a power of 2000 horsepower.
For novelty Drako DriveOS architecture is used, which supports advanced technologies and systems that control power of the power unit.
European design and American engineering come together
In addition, Drako DriveOS Quad Motor Powertrain has been announced for the model. As for the installation itself, it will consist of four engines, which will allow the crossover to accelerate to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds.
The crossover is built on the modern Drako architecture. It gives the opportunity to use the maximum performance. A total of four engines with a combined output of 2,000 horsepower will be installed. This will allow the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 1.9 seconds. At the moment, only Tesla Model S Plaid can boast such figures.
The all-electric drivetrain will allow the model to reach a top speed of 321 km/h. For a car in this segment, these are simply impressive figures. Drako will also add a three-speed suspension.
World-beating luxury and performance
So far we have only teaser images, but we can see that the inspiration was taken from another model of the brand – GTE. We can see all the lighting elements, a small part of the front bumper and the hood styling. One of the features are the doors, which are shaped like seagull wings.
The manufacturer emphasizes that most of the details in the design of the model are made of carbon fiber. The interior of the crossover has not yet been revealed, but there is some information about the interior. In particular, it is reported that Drako Dragon will receive high-quality leather trim, as well as many modern systems and technologies. The cabin can comfortably accommodate five people, including the driver.
Drako said that the crossover will debut closer to the end of this year and pre-orders for the car will open soon. If you recall, the GTE cost about $1,250,000. The Dragon should get a more adequate price to successfully compete with the Lamborghini Urus or Bentley Bentayga. We just have to wait for the presentation of the model to fully review it and see all its features.
