Audi e-tron with higher charging capacity

After one of the latest updates to the Audi Q4 e-tron, owners can expect faster charging for models with high-capacity batteries.

Starting in 2022, models with a large battery providing 76.6 kWh of clean energy (82 kWh gross) – that is, the Audi Q4 40 e-tron, Audi Q4 45 e-tron quattro and Audi Q4 50 e-tron quattro as well as Sportback versions will be able to charge with up to 135 kW of energy. Charging times under optimal conditions from 5 to 80 percent have been reduced by 29 to 36 minutes, depending on the model.

This is made possible by improvements to the software that handles the thermoregulation and battery management systems.

Also among other news from Audi is the arrival of Amazon Alexa.

Audi connect with Amazon’s Alexa will now allow drivers to control their calendar or shopping list using their voice, as well as control compatible smart home devices from the car. Amazon’s Alexa integration will enable the use of individual user profiles in the vehicle, which will be appreciated by all family members using the same car.

Another useful upgrade is the new version of the free myAudi app.

After the last update, it is now possible to send planned routes to the car directly from the application. The e-tron route planner will take into account the current traffic situation and plan charging stops. It is also worth noting that the application takes into account the driving style of each driver and, accordingly, the power consumption / possible mileage with his/her driving style.
